Petitions in Action
In March of 2022, Citizens Alliance of Idaho ran a flash petition drive gathering over 1800 signatures in just 2 weeks to support House bill 631.
The “Unmask Idaho Bill” prevented government agencies across Idaho from mandating the public wear face coverings and masks and had passed the House, but sat idle in a Senate committee. As the session wound down to a close, Executive Director Matt Edwards hand delivered the entire stack of petitions to the Senate Pro-Tempore Chuck Winder.
The bill never made it out of the Senate. But we will still support this legislation if a lawmaker tries again.
